The celebration of Great Barekendan or Eve of Great Lent by Harissa (Armenian dish) festival has already become a tradition for the Armenian community in Tbilisi. The festival is organized and conducted on the initiative of the Association of Armenian Women of Georgia “Shushanik”, with the support of the Armenian Diocese and “Hayartun” center. The festival has already become a wonderful tradition, where Armenian women present a national dish as skillful and pleasant hostesses. The celebration becomes bigger and bigger every year.

On February 13, 2015 the Armenian diocese in Georgia solemnly celebrated the Feast of the Presentation of Our Lord Jesus Christ (Tyarndarach) - Jesus Christ was only forty days, when Mary brought him to the temple. The celebration began in Tbilisi Saint Etchmiadzin Church under the leadership of the Primate of the Armenian Diocese, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan and with the participation of the clergy. On the eve of the feast, after the evening service, the Andastan ceremony was conducted - the blessing of the four corners of the world and candles representing the symbol of the Light of Christ.

On February 13, 2015 the meeting with the president of Bundestag, Professor Norbert Lammert, was held on the initiative of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Mr. Ortwin Hennig, at the Embassy of Germany in Georgia. High-ranking clergymen representing Georgian Orthodox, Roman Catholic, German Lutheran and Evangelical Baptist Churches, Chief Rabbi of Jewish community, the spiritual leader of Yazidi community and, of course, the Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan, attended the meeting.

On February 12, 2015 the fifth wide meeting of the Georgian regional committee on the organization of the events regarding the 100^th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide was held at the “Hayartun” center of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia. In addition to the committee members, the heads of Akhalkalaki and Ninotsminda local administrations and the presidents of local assemblies were invited.
